Awesome new Chicago Design Museum opening
“Methods” aren’t the answer; a whole new way of thinking and approaching problems is needed to push innovation forward. Here Chris Conley introduces the Six Principles for Working Differently. Preach!

On Saturday gravitytank hosted CoderDojoChi, a free computer organization for kids interested in learning how to code. All in all there were around 20 kids in attendance with parents, mentors, and the head teacher filling our 4th floor. There are hopes to continue our space sharing with the team at CoderDojo, and a goal of hosting 2 events per month to give the gift of computing knowledge to Chicago’s local youths. It’s just another example of how gravitytank is giving back to our community and taking an active part in education in and around the Chicago area.
For this week’s capability meeting, the Comms team visited two stores, Madewell (a women’s clothing boutique) and Independence (a men’s clothing boutique), to compare and contrast how they each use look-and-feel and store touchpoints to create their brands. It was great to talk about how they use similar elements differently to appeal to their respective target shoppers (and maybe do a little shopping ourselves!).
This is how we do Fridays at gravitytank…. The girls get props for being the first to throwdown with crazy pants day, but the dudes were quick to respond with crazy neckwear/tie day. Who won? And what’s the next challenge gonna be??
